Introduction

Hi and welcome to my blog. My name is Shane and I have always been fascinated by flight and the wonders of how our physical world works. 

I'm a husband, dad to five great kids (four boys and one girl), U.S. Army veteran, former police officer, and have worn many different hats throughout my working life that make for some great stories. 

This blog will be about the journey of building a Team MiniMax1100R aircraft with my kids. I'm hoping to show them how math isn't scary, teach them how capable they are, and spend quality time together. 

So, strap in, work through the checklist with us, and enjoy the ride. I'm sure we will!
